  7. POLICE have been mystified by a report of a mysterious pulsing light in the sky
  8. over West Lindsey.
  9.  
  10. The alleged sighting came from a former policeman who was driving with his
  11. daughter along the A631 at around 8.15pm on Saturday.

  13. "I looked towards Caistor and we could see some twinkling lights quite low down
  14. between the trees.

  18. "I caught a glimpse of a pale blue light - just a quick flash, but I thought it
  19. was probably an emergency service vehicle," said Michael Baxter (52).

  21. "About 30 seconds later there was a massive pulse of pale blue light, brighter
  22. than anything else in the sky above the hills.
  23.  
  24. "It was quite beautiful, but it was there for just a second and then
  25. disappeared. What it was I've no idea."

  27. The sighting took place on the road between Caenby Corner and Bishop Bridge, as
  28. the former Lincolnshire, policeman was driving towards his Skegness home.

  30. A spokesman for Caistor Police said they were not aware of any similar reports.
